According to speech excerpts released by the White House, tonight President Bush will take the bold stand that America needs to be less dependent on foreign oil:
"America is addicted to oil, which is often imported from unstable parts of the world. The best way to break this addiction is through technology."
Sound familiar?
2002: “This Congress must act to encourage conservation, promote technology, build infrastructure, and it must act to increase energy production at home so America is less dependent on foreign oil.”
2003: “Our third goal is to promote energy independence for our country, while dramatically improving the environment. … [We should be] much less dependent on foreign sources of energy.”
2004: “I urge you to pass legislation to modernize our electricity system, promote conservation, and make America less dependent on foreign sources of energy.”
2005: “I urge Congress to pass legislation that makes America more secure and less dependent on foreign energy.”
Meanwhile, our dependence on foreign oil has increased from 58 percent in 2000 to 66 percent today. If America is addicted to oil, George W. Bush is our dealer.

the disclaimer
okay, so maybe i jumped the gun. i would hate for anyone to actually listen to me for once, join 12dp, then lose all their money. i have no doubt that it works, but that's not to say the company won't up and run. i think that it's unlikely to happen, however there is a lot of mystery to the company, so i can't say with 100 percent certainty that they won't. the mystery lies in how they generate money for us through their own "investing." this enterprise might be illegal, unethical, or it could be perfectly okay, no one seems to know for sure. here is what i do know: the system works and you will make money, it's been around i believe for or at least eight months, and it is growing at a rate of 3,000 new members per day. but there is a risk and that can't be ignored. everywhere i read states the common sense notion of not giving them money that you aren't willing to part with. the first month for us will be the most risky because we'll be trying to get to a point where we can pull out our initial investment so that everything else is pure profit. this way when the feds raid 12dp's offices and 12pd employees are on a convenient vacation in europe at the time with my money, i will have at least made some money to make all of this worth it. and for all i know, this could be a long term business. either way, i'm doin it now to try and milk this sucker. and it's up to you if you want to do the same, but just realize the risk that 12dp could theoretically shut down and take every cent you give them. and again, this would only happen if they close down. as long as they stay open, we're all in business and making money. my running tally of how much i've made (as soon as i make something) will be to the right in my links box thingy, so keep an eye out.
did anyone else watch the alito vote this morning? considering how the parties are split, it was a pretty damn close vote. i want to say that had i been a senator, i would have voted for him. but with every move being so political and everyone having an eye to reelection, who knows what i would have been compelled to do. and martin luther king jr.'s wife coretta died last night. i knew she was still alive, but it's still crazy to think she was so long after he died. it's been almost forty years now. just seems like yesterday. not really, okay anyways. i have no idea what i'm saying. moving on.
OSCAR TIME BIOTCHS!!! by no means am i a film expert, so as far as predicting the outcomes, i'm far from qualified and would probably just embarrass myself. so instead, from now until then i will just pick the peeps and movies that i want to win. first up, actor in a supporting role: george clooney (syriana). although jake gyllenhaal was superb, i think i just that if i could be any actor, george is right up there as who i'd wanna be. visual effects to war of the worlds. that's an easy one. king kong was just a big video game and narnia was very good, but nothing compared to worlds. i don't know how they created some of those effects. like how they created such a huge ego for tom cruise, i don't think we'll ever know. thank you, thank you folks. i'll be here all week. please make sure and tip your waitress. out.

the spiel
Kingdom of Heaven (2005): if anyone doubts that orlando bloom can hold his own in a movie, this will put that to rest. he was brilliant and completely shown in the movie. however, lotr, pirates, troy, kingdom; i'm seeing a pattern. he needs to start expanding his roles. aside from that, i was surprised at how decent this movie was. i've realized i have a great fascination for the muslim culture including its history. i think their faith is incredible and the way they honor and worship god is what i believe to be the most fitting tribute to the maker of existence. their lives throughout history are just so fascinating. who else will you find who are in the status they are in (thanks to the good luck of oil), yet wear sheets day in and day out? anyways, there are parts that i didn't really get such as the role of the princess. i don't know what i was supposed to feel, but i thought she was an idiot and deserving of a classic "i'm gonna kill myself with a dagger to the heart because i totally screwed everything up." in the end she gets a haircut and becomes bloom's ho. so aside from my confusion over that character, the movie rocks and i think most is credited to ridley scott on this one. this is a must see for anyone who is at all entertained by big war movies like braveheart, return of the king, or ben hur. okay maybe not ben hur. but i'll end up buying someday.
Last Holiday (2006): i'm usually, strike that, i'm always anti romantic comedy/feel good type movies, but from the trailer this actually looked fun. queen was very witty and believable. and even ll was good. it was a nice change seeing him in a real sentimental role where he doesn't have to take his shirt off and show off his manliness. it's a sweet movie worth taking your significant other (if you have one). and it's got a completely unbelievable, yet really well done snowboarding scene. by the way, obviously she doesn't die. if you can't guess that going into it, then you haven't seen enough movies. see it.
my days have been consumed by thoughts of 12dp. i haven't made any money yet, but that's only because it hasn't been twelve days. after continuing to research this, here are what i have found negative about the program so far. first of all, there is always a chance that the company could shut down and your money could disappear. all over the forum it says the place won't shut down and that there seems to be a long future ahead. so yeah, it's a chance you take. but it's been going along at a very good rate so far. the site says that if it does happen, they will tell us as early as they can so we can get our money out and they will also give back whatever money that was invested as much as they can. what i say then is to get into it, make a ton of money so that you've made enough profit so that any loss will be okay. the second thing is that you don't get a day's worth of money if you don't surf the internet. plain and simple. i've tried to really compare each of the payment processors you should use, and emo seems to me, to blow stormpay out of the water as far as fees go. i've heard back and forth things with the timeliness of payments between them both. and i've heard of issues with the security of emo, however with the stuff i had to go through to sign up, get verified, and even just to login (you have to use this little decoder card each time), i'm feeling pretty safe. so what is my verdict? if you're slightly above average with computer crap and the internet, if you have no trouble getting online for at leave five minutes a day, everyday, and if you are willing to part with a little cash for two weeks, then you are crazy not to do this. i'm serious. this isn't a ponzie scam or a multilevel program. this is easy money. and a lot of it. i'm gonna plug 12dp a lot only because i believe in it and why not share the wealth with friends? i can't believe this isn't even more well known and not all over the news. so as time goes on, i'll post here what i'm investing into it, and how much money i'm making. i hope that when you see that i'm making money by sitting on my ass, and you are making money by working way too hard, then you'll see the light. and again, i get some money when i refer people, so use this link: http://www.12dailypro.com/?ref=314823. how much money do i get you ask? i get 12% of whatever you put into it. that's freaking huge. but that also means you get the same amount of whoever you refer. this might begin sounding like some pyramid scheme, but i promise it's not. the referrals are just a bonus and i'm actually not counting on me getting any referrals from you. my money will come from the simple task of surfing online each day. so there is my spiel. i am more than happy to explain any of the details about 12dp so email me and ask. feel free to email, or just wait another week for me to get my money.
i'm trying to get organized with school assignments. i have like a dozen major projects and papers and presentations due throughout the semester and knowing me i will wait until the weekend before it's due before starting on them. this semester's grades don't really matter as much as they have in the past since my law schools already have my current gpa. of course i'd still like to get A's, but i'm okay with simply passing. kim and i are back into six feet under and are working on season four. it's as good as always of course. my mom, kim, and i are doing a weekly lost night for season one. and kim and i are working on watching all lord of the rings extended versions. last night we finished disk one of return of the king, which ended up being two hours and four minutes long. and that's just disk one. the scary part is that there are four different commentaries to the extended version, so about 0.01% of my life time will go to watching lotr commentaries (with me dying at 50, you do the math).
i feel somewhat guilty because i'm on my laptop in class writing this, while everyone else is just taking notes. part of me thinks that i'm the envy of everyone sitting behind me. then i realize that i'm not that important and i shouldn't flatter myself like that because probably no one is noticing me. february 2nd is the big day for my jeep!! wish me luck. the snow here won't let up. it's cold, snows, stays cold for a few more days, snows again, and repeat. any other time i would love it, but i feel it's a waste since my board is in my jeep. this time last year i had gone about five times. i can just imagine the beautiful runs that other people are racing down. and here i am with brand new boots and only a half day in pennsylvania back in december to show for it.

the new income
starting this "surf the internet get paid to browse websites too good to be true" program. but i've really checked into a lot and i have to say, regardless of how it works, it totally seems legit. i've put in a certain amount of money and am trying it out for the time being to see if it works. i have no reason to doubt that it won't because like i said, i've really looked into it and spent time on forums and read more fine print than i would ever want to in a lifetime. but i think this is going to work and has the potential to make some serious bling. how much flow do you ask? you basically get 44% of whatever amount you "invest", every twelve days. so i put in $100, after twelve days i get the $100 back plus $44. and you can do up to $6k at a time. yeah, i know, sounds terrible shady. i thought so too and i'm still a little skeptic. it's okay if you are rolling your eyes. i don't blame you. time will tell i suppose. if anyone wants to know more about it then let me know. there is a referral thing that i get if you do it too, and i'm a pathetic poor college student who spends all his wife's money, so referrals would be great. actually, i'll just put up the link right now. go here and check it out. however, be warned, the website can be really confusing at first. if you have any questions just let me know. and if you sign up, make sure and use that link so i get credit. what am i even saying? no one will do this. well when the clams start rolling in, then maybe there will be a bigger interest. you can always try it out with just $6 at first and see what you think.
Lords of Dogtown (2005): another great performance by heath ledger. this guy is really unbelievable. he reminded me of johnny's performance in blow. too bad most of the movies he is in are terrible, such as this. the plot was really weak: misfit kids are really good skateboarders, rise to fame, it goes to their heads, they aren't friends anymore, then one of their buddies is dying of a brain tumor so they all reunite. you don't get to see very good boarding because this was back when no one knew what they were doing. i was crazy impressed to see emile hersch (the girl next door) doing all this skate boarding cuz he was really good. but it was hard believing him halfway through the film when he shaves his head, joins the crips and all of a sudden turns into this mexican ese. have you seen the girl next door? this guy is whiter than me. and i suppose they were looking for a younger audience, but again, the lack of cussing and drugs made for an unbelievable life for these kids in the 60s. these guys are delinquents have sex, breaking every law in the book, and drinking at the age of 14. heath ledger is stoned off his mind throughout the entire movie, yet you never see him touch or mention drugs. this was supposed to be set in the freaking 60s, but feels like the 50s and some rebel without a cause knockoff. don't see.
man, i went back to work today for the first time since like august, and boy did it suck. first off, some retard erased my word doc that i had on the computer there that contained all of my passwords for all the systems we use. it was in a folder called Ethan in My Docs, and the file was called "do not delete." i swear i wanted to hurt someone. so i'm working like the busiest day of my life there, with people have seizures, and chicks who took too much aderol, and some drill team event going on, and snow and ice all over, and retards getting in accidents, and hit and runs, and idiots calling about information on their traffic tickets. all this during my first hour of work. all this while i have barely any access to anything because i have no passwords. all this while trying to remember how to even do my job. i couldn't even remember have to transfer people on the phone. i couldn't even remember what to say to people when i answer the damn thing. turns out, it's "college police." i woke up late this morning and had to rush to get ready and do my daily internet thing to make my money, then rush to the bus (still no jeep), then take a test in the testing center, then class right after, then rush like a mile away to get to work on time, then i got off at seven tonight. and it's no mistake that i left out any sort of eating within all of that. there was zero time to eat today until i got home, which left me with a fabulous headache throughout work. but don't worry my loved ones. your fat ass amigo made up for it by consuming about 9lbs of quesadillas for dinner. that was my day. i also work tomorrow night from 1am - 7am. it's great being back.
mike lee loves me and i'm grateful for that. no one else back in bennett's office seems to though. i could always count on 429. those fake staff assistants don't seem to give a shit at all. now watch, i'll get emails from them on monday and i'll feel really bad about saying that. but most likely i won't get crap. all i want is my stinking picture that i took with bob so i can hang it on the wall of my condo as my one and only claim to fame. is that too much to ask? we took the freaking pictures in october! i need a break. it's so late but i think i'm gonna watch more of my movie and come back to this later. screw it. i have nothing else to say.

the never ending story
wow. so i'm never on this anymore. my time goes to school, trying to get to school each day, homework, and catching up on dvds that i have. oh yeah, and lost. last week i started watching season one of lost and had nightly marathons. the show is freaking incredible. my favorite characters are sawyer, jack of course, and most of the time hurley. i got no beef with the korean guy too. other than that i don't trust or can't stand most of the other peeps on the island. i have a complaint about its pg-13 quality though. when i'm watching, it's hard not to notice that the things the characters say are unbelievable. i appreciate the reality that hbo shows offer when it comes to the way people really talk. and yes, this basically means cussing. maybe it's just because i've seen a lot of hbo this past year, but the show would benefit i feel with a touch of vulgarity. feel free to disagree. either way, the show is wonderful and i recommend it to everyone within the viewing of this text.
i ran into adam reni a few days ago at costco while i was buying toilet paper. it was kind of awkward. i guess he moved to provo the day before and wants to go on a mission this year. we'll see if that happens. i think we should have him over for dinner sometime.
Munich (2005): what a long movie. and i'm talking long. someone, maybe spielberg, maybe someone else, but someone must have been extremely adamant about not sending this movie to the cutting board. it went on and on. there are, i assume, many things that i was probably supposed to take away from this movie, such as themes and morals and lessons and blah blah blah. but it's very vague, and aside from the obvious stuff about killing and israel vs. palestine, i left the movie not fully getting what i probably should have. i just don't feel like thinking that hard i guess. there are a number of confusing moments because of the usual elements that create confusion such as big cast, foreign characters, people who are never what they seem, etc. it ends up being very complex and i'm almost willing to say that syriana was more cut and dry than this. on a positive note, the assassination scenes are very intense. i was also impressed with the recreation of the stuff that went down in munich to set it all off. these were some of the best scenes in the movie. as far as the portrayal of jews and palestinians, i have no complaints. they are all human, they all kill, they all want their precious soil. it's no different than the reality of then and today. this is the truth and if people don't like it, then they are living in denial. the movie seems like it was a massive undertaking by spielberg, so hats off to that man for putting this and war of the worlds out all in '05. but it's a hard movie to sit through simply because it's long, complex, and slow at points. if i could do it all over again, i still would have seen it, but i wouldn't recommend it for anyone else. unless you are a middle eastern fanatic such as my good buddy ben. otherwise i can think of at least a dozen other spielberg flicks that i'd rather see.
ironic that tonight, it seems that hamas now controls the palestinian parliament. it will never end.
Hostel (2005): tarantino presented this junk? why? i guess it's not junk, but what was so great about it? the plot was really lame, the characters really dull, and there isn't really a point to the movie. the only thing i got out of it was if you want to smoke some really good weed and bang really hot euro trash chicks, stay in amsterdam. don't go over to some eastern european post-communist country that is on the heels of civil war unless you want your eyes burned out with a blowtorch. i liked the locations of the movie, but other than that, there was little thought put into the movie. one of the main characters was this guy who was the good one of the bunch and actually had some morals. yet his ankles were sliced and he died, while his 'bad-boy' amigo lived. why did they have him die? it defies all plot and character logic of a movie. if gore is your type of thing, then by all means see it. but i promise, stick with saw and you'll get all the gore you need, and oh yeah, an actually thought out plot. tarantino. i don't get that guy some times.
